Is The Balloon Coming To Your Neighborhood Next?
To the Editor:
Help support the opposition to the proposed cell tower on Dinglebrook Lane. Cellphone companies are expanding their coverage by increasing the number of cellphone towers into prime residential areas where they do not belong! This proposal simply put is just wrong! Residential areas should remain residential and not turned into commercial enterprise zones. Other sites do exist and are available where they do not affect the quality of life for residents. If this proposal does go through, it will be forever known as Joe Borstâs Folly, a symbol of his failure to properly represent the people of Newtown who have expressed their opposition to such a monstrosity.
Unless you want to end up living next to one of these unsightly giants, then I suggest you support the residents of Dinglebrook Lane, Hanover Road, and Scenic View neighborhoods by voicing your opposition to the proposed cell tower to be located at 24 Dinglebrook Lane. A large sign at the proposed site now advertises the proposal.
Is it Nicer In Newtown or Nice Cellphone Coverage?
This tower installation will affect a large number of residents in a close-knit neighborhood. Do you want to be next to have your property values lowered?
Join together now and say No by attending the hearing of the Connecticut Siting Council on May 28 at 7 pm at the Edmond Town Hall. A large balloon will be placed at the proposed site at 2 pm on the 28th. Will the balloon be coming to your neighborhood next?
Beware the Balloon! Your opposition can be voiced in person at the hearing or by sending an email via the Connecticut Siting Councilâs website: siting.council@ct.gov .
I strongly urge all residents of Newtown to join together now or be faced with a town full of cell towers!
Respectfully,
Robert Dahm
