An Evening Of Irish And Scottish Music

WATERBURY — First Congregational Church will present an evening of music in its sanctuary at 7:30 pm on Friday, March 24. This year’s concert, followed by refreshments in the Parish House, will feature Irish and Scottish airs, performed by John Craft and Barbara Soderberg.

The public is invited to enjoy the free evening; a goodwill offering to benefit Woodbury Community Services Council will be gratefully received.

Mr Craft lives in Naugatuck and is soloist and cantor at several local churches including First Church, where he is a tenor soloist and section leader in the choir. He is on the staff of Rumsey Hall School in Washington where he teaches.

Barbara Soderberg has been music director and organist at First Church for many years. She is also on the staff at Rumsey, where she is music teacher for kindergarten through grade 9. She is also co-conductor of the Junior Choir of Litchfield County Children’s Choir.

First Congregational Church is at 214 Main Street South (Route 6) in Woodbury, opposite the town hall. Ample parking is available in the LaBonne’s Market plaza
