A Sweet Valentine’s Day Project

Newtown High School Nurtury students and Culinary 2 students oversaw the preschoolers in the Nurtury program making a sweet Valentine’s Day project on Thursday, February 11.

The preschoolers rolled up their sleeves as their high school counterparts walked them through working with dough prepared by the Culinary 2 students, stamping heart shapes out of the dough and preparing sugar cookies.

The Culinary 2 students, overseen by NHS culinary teacher Stephen OShana, also baked the cookies in the Nurtury classroom when the students were finished with their cookies.

All of the students in the Nurtury program made cookies on Thursday, and they also worked on making Valentine’s Day cards to go with their cookies.
