New Dealers Join Palm Beach International

STUART, FLA. -- Several new international art and antique dealers have joined

the third annual Palm Beach International Art & Antique Fair, according to

show organizer David Lester.

The ten-day fair, now at the intersection of Okeechobee and Quadrille

Boulevards in West Palm Beach, opens with a Vernissage for the Norton Museum

on Thursday evening, January 28. The fair continues through Sunday, November

7, 1999.

Among the newcomers will be A La Vielle Russie, Art of the Past, William

Beadleston, Bodhicitta, The Chinese Porcelain Company, Galerie de Beyrie,

James Trezza, Tim Wright and Orientations Gallery, all from the United States;

Philippe Denys from Brussels, Thomas Goode, Ciancimino Ltd., Wartskie, Graff,

Peter Nahum at the Leicester Galleries, Waddington Galleries, Priestly &

Ferrar, Lefevre Gallery, Simon C Dickinson & James Roundell, N & I Franklin,

Spink & Son, AV Santos, and John Bly Antiques, from England; Vallois, Janssens

Van Der Maelen, and Berdj Achdjan from France; and Salis & Vertis, from

Austria.

Dealers returning to the event include Beauvais Carpets, Imperial Oriental

Art, Imperial Fine Books, Fred Leighton, Bruce Ferrini, Hammer Galleries,

Montgomery Gallery, and Florian Papp, from the United States; Peter Finer,

Michael Goedhuis, Richard Green Gallery, Somlo Antiques, Marks Antiques,

Hancocks and Company, all from London; Ariane Dandois, Bernard Baruch

Steinitz, Philippe Cazeau & Jacques de la Beraudiere, Carolle Thibaut

Pomerantz, and Herve Odermatt, from Paris; and Lily Beer, from Buenos Aires.

"Virtually every collecting category is well-represented this year," said

Lester.

Mrs Morton Downey joins interior designer Mario Buatta as co-chairman of the

collectors and connoisseurs committee.

Tickets for the preview are $1,000 for a private curator tour prior to the

Vernissage; $250 for entrance at 6:30 pm; and $125 for 7:30 admission. General
