Fresh Air And Fitness
Fresh Air And Fitness
By Kendra Bobowick
Rushing in a few minutes late for a meeting with Assistant Director of Recreation RoseAnn Reggiano, certified fitness instructor Donna Moxham made a perfect example that as a mother of four, she has a tight schedule. Her new early morning fitness classes to run through the recreation department offer a good fit for parents planning a busy day, Ms Reggiano noted.
âIt is early, but then you have the rest of the day,â Ms Moxham explained. âI have to find time to fit in exercise.â She also wants to enjoy the outdoors.
The Fresh Air Fitness classes running April 26 to June 5 provide a âbreak from fitness indoors, fresh air, and an intense total body workout,â touts the flyer. Her courses are for training, running, elevating the heart rate, and enjoying town trails and property.
Several different courses are being offered, and will take place on the Fairfield Hills grounds. For a fee of $120 are Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 6:45 am and Saturdays from 7 to 8 am. A second course is Monday and Wednesday from 6 to 6:45 for $95. Third is a Saturday course from May 1 to June 5 from 7 to 8 am for $65.
Fresh Air and Fitness is a new activity sponsored by the recreation department. Visit www.Newtown-ct.gov, and look for the Parks and Recreation Departmentâs page and programming for more information or registration.
