Newtown Saving Bank celebrated its first anniversary on Thursday, April 13, at East Hill Woods in Southbury. The celebration included entertainment by Anne Ferguson, pianist, and Kenneth Sassano, singer, âDime Store Day Specialsâ at the Country Store, and light refreshments. Newtown Savings Bank opened a satellite branch in East Hill Woodsâ Country Store on April 1, 1999. The branch serves the residents and employees of East Hill Woods and is open on Thursdays from 1 to 3 pm.
The bank offers traditional banking services plus brokerage services, including annuities and mutual funds with Infinex. Laure Terzini and Jeff Vrilk, manager and assistant manager, respectively, of the Southbury office, make up the regular staff of the location.
