Emma M. Atkinson was named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2009 semester at John Carroll University, in University Heights, Ohio. Students eligible for the Dean’s List at the university must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours within the semester and have a quality grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Alexander Read, son of Rory Read and Mary Savoy-Read, graduated from Hartwick College, in Oneonta, N.Y., with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. At the college Alexander also participated in a Student2student Peer Mentoring Program and in Tau Kappa Epsilon.

Meghan E. Barbour, Megan D. Laflamme, and Lisa M. Morgan of Newtown, and Daniel R. Rahmlow and Joseph C. Rahtelli of Sandy Hook were named to the Dean’s List for the spring 2009 semester at Marist College, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

Sarah Holroyd of Sandy Hook was named to second honors on the Clark University Dean’s List, in Worcester, Mass. To be eligible for second honors at the university, students must have a grade point average of 3.5 or higher of a maximum 4.3.

Brenden T. Deveney was named to the honor roll at Phillips Academy, in Andover, Mass., for the spring term. To be named to the honor roll, students must maintain at least a 5-point grade average on a 6-point scale.

Sarah Nahabedian of Sandy Hook received her degree from Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I., during commencement exercises on May 23. Sarah received a bachelor of science degree in marine biology.
