Chester A. Krewson

Chester A. Krewson, 92, of Trumbull, died April 15 in Southport Manor in Fairfield. He was the husband of the late Mildred A. Merwin Krewson and the brother of Katherine Pascoe of Newtown.

Mr Krewson was born in Bridgeport and had been a Stratford resident before moving to Trumbull 40 years ago. He was a retired serviceman for the United Illuminating Co. and was active with the Men’s Fellowship Group at the Long Hill United Methodist Church, Trumbull.

Survivors also include a son, Chester A. Krewson, III, and his wife, Dorothy, of Stratford; a brother, Thomas Krewson and his wife, Pearl, of Fairfield; two other sisters, Beatrice Larson of Middletown and Florrie Cantarera of Delaware; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Mr Krewson was predeceased by two daughters, Barbara White and Nancy Baldino; and a grandson, Chester A. Krewson, IV.

Funeral services were held April 18 in the Long Hill United Methodist Church, with the Rev H. James Baum, pastor, officiating. Interment was in Mountain Grove Cemetery.

Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, was in charge of arrangements.
