Children’s librarian Alana Meloni is accepting orders for Book 5, but she needs to hear from young readers by April 29. That’s the deadline for ordering the book. Contact Ms Meloni at the library’s children’s department at 426-3851. This offer is good for young readers ages 10 and older, or entering fifth grade in the fall.

The books are $20 each, and they will be hardcover. There is a sign-up sheet in the library for those who would like to reserve the book.

The books are scheduled to – finally! – be released on June 21. To celebrate this the children’s department is planning a Harry Potter Midnight Madness Party on Friday, June 20. The event will run from 9 pm until just after midnight, which is when Ms Meloni will be allowed to give the Harry Potter books to those who have ordered them.

Everyone is welcome to the party, but only those who have ordered the books in advance will be receiving them at the stroke of midnight. The party will include a screening of one of the Harry Potter movies, thematic refreshments, games, and maybe even a sneak reading of some of Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix, during which time partygoers may hear:
