*Local music this week will include acoustic guitarist J.B. TENNEY headlining Friday night at Mocha Coffee House in Sandy Hook, and SKANKTONES on Saturday night. Tenny will be performing the classic jazz, rhythm and blues, and funk that has been earning him a following around the region. Skanktones is an original reggae band from Danbury.

Next weekend’s music will be performed by left-handed guitarist TARA HACK (who reportedly does everything else as a rightie) on Friday and then a return of JESS BARTOLOTTA on Saturday night.

*A reminder that THE ADULTS will be at Proud Mary’s in Newtown (that’s the lounge below The Inn at Newtown, 19 Main Street), on Fridays, May 29 and June 19.

*New Milford singer-songwriter TOM DOBSON will be performing on Friday, May 29, at Bank Street Coffeehouse in New Milford. Tom will be performing a set of his most recent work as well as songs from his first commercially released CD, called Counterpoint. For an idea of what his acoustic set might sound like visit his website, TomDombson.com (or go through his MySpace.com/TomDobsonRock link).

*THE MOODY BLUES will perform at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, August 16, and tickets quietly went on sale this week, all set at $40. Visit or contact any TicketMaster vendor for those tickets.

*Meanwhile, tickets for JASON MRAZ’s Gratitude Café Tour stop in Connecticut, which will be July 31, have also gone on sale (sorry, some of these press releases were a little late reaching my desk last week), prices at $45 and also available through TicketMaster.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
