âHolistic Approach To Prostate Cancer Treatmentâ
BRIDGEPORT â Area men will have an opportunity to obtain the latest information on traditional and complementary therapies for the prevention and treatment of prostate cancer from a panel of experts when St Vincentâs Prostate Cancer Institute presents âHolistic Approach To Prostate Cancer Treatmentâ on Wednesday, March 29, from 7 to 9 pm in St Vincentâs Hawley Conference Center on the main level.
The program is open to the public at no charge and is made possible by the Swim Across the Sound through the Prostate Cancer Institute.
Prostate Cancer Institute Executive Director William G. Joyce says, âWe have assembled an outstanding panel of health care providers that have the capability of offering a holistic approach that includes every aspect of prevention and prostate cancer treatment.â
The panel of experts includes St Vincentâs urologist Martin Reichgut, MD; psychotherapist Lynn Roberge, NNC, LPC; mediation instructor Fran Palumbo; Yoga instructor Marlene Salko; and Tai Chi instructor Tim Regan.
The program will also include information on the upcoming schedule for free prostate cancer screenings made possible through the Institute, and also on the new Prostate Cancer Buddy Network, which links men recently diagnosed to prostate cancer survivors for the purposed of support and first-hand information helpful in fighting and overcoming the disease.
