ON THE ROAD/SHANNON HICKS
SAMMY HAGAR is on the road this summer in what I believe is his first tour
since leaving/being fired from (depending on whom you believe) VAN HALEN.
Hagar will be at The Oakdale in Wallingford on Saturday, August 28, and
tickets are going on sale Saturday, July 24, at 10 am. Seats for Hagar are $26
and $26 each. Showtime is 7:30 and there is no opener listed as of yet.
Speaking of openers, LUCINDA WILLIAMS, who opened for Tom Petty just a few
weeks ago when he and The Heartbreakers headlined at The Meadows, has been
named as the opener for THE ALLMAN BROTHERS, who also return to Connecticut
after having just played at The Meadows as well. The Brothers' return shows
are August 24 & 25, this time at The Oakdale. Tickets are already on sale for
those evenings, both of which will begin at 7 pm.
Contact Tuxedo Junction (748-2561) for details, but here's the sketchy
information: Perennial favorites THE NERDS will be at the Danbury club on July
30 for a "special event."
Until next week, I'll be seeing you... on the road.

over unless specified.
