SNAPSHOT FOR 12/20/96 DANIEL CRUSON, IV

Grade: Eighth.

How long in Newtown: All my life.

Biggest change in town: The addition on the library and Hawley School - the

new ones they're building now.

Family: I've got two brothers - Ben, who's six, and Thomas who just turned

ten; and a mom and a dad.

Pets: Yeah. I've got a cat. He's a gray tiger. His name is Gandalf after [the

character in] Tolkien's wizard in [ Lord of the Rings ] series.

Hobbies: I like to read - adventure, science fiction, and fantasy sometimes.

Activities/clubs: Boy Scouts Troop 70, I'm a First Class Scout; the Parks and

Rec Cartooning Class - I've taken that a couple of times. I'm in the Tech Team

- we mainly work on the computers in the lab, loading up stuff and fixing

problems; and the Drama Club. I'm in it this year; I wasn't in it last year,

but I was when I was in elementary school.

What do you like best about Boy Scouts: A lot of stuff. A lot of the camp outs

I like. What badge have you enjoyed getting: Basketry I enjoyed. Most of the

craft ones because it's fairly easy to get the badges and there are fun

requirements to them.

Favorite place outdoors in Connecticut: Kettletown is a neat place, and

Hammonasset [State Park] has a beach nearby and a lot of roads you can bike

on.

Favorite food: I like a lot of stuff. Chinese food - sweet and sour chicken,

and Chicken Amazing - and Subway subs.

What kind of movies do you like: Again, science fiction and adventure - those

are the two main ones. Sometimes I like to watch cartoons like Toy Story .

Favorite computer game: Sam and Max. It has kind of goofy humor.
