Couple Starts Psychotherapy Practices In Newtown
Alan W. Miller, Phd, and Naomi Miller, Phd, have opened offices for the
practice of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy at 54 Parmalee Hill Road.
The couple, who have separate offices in Manhattan, also will maintain
separate practices here.
Dr Naomi Miller practices psychotherapy for adults, couples and children. She
is on the faculty of the Hunter College School of Social Work and the New
School for Social Research. She is a member of the New York Society of
Clinical Social Work Psychotherapists and a member of the American Association
of Sex Educators Counselors and Therapists.
Dr Alan Miller practices psychoanalysis and psychoanalytically oriented
psychotherapy. He is a clinical associate professor of theology in psychiatry
at Cornell University Medical College and a member of the New York Freudian
Society, the International Psychoanalytical Association and the Council of
Psychoanalytic Psychotherapists.
The Millers purchased the former Wyatt house on Parmalee Hill Road recently
and will divide their time between New York and Newtown. Originally from
England, they came to the United States in 1961 and became naturalized
citizens. They have four grown children.
