Have you noticed the increase in your property tax bill this year?

I am sure you have noticed, like my family and I did.

Normally, a voter may blame an incumbent office holder for a tax increase.

However, our First Selectman Jeff Capeci proposed an affordable and common-sense budget that was thoughtful and appropriate for our citizens.

However, the Democrat Selectpersons had other thoughts and authored the current tax increases that were narrowly passed earlier this year.

This November, we need to return Jeff Capeci as our First Selectman. Jeff has 20 years of experience in Newtown government, and has a proven track record as First Selectman the past two years. Equally important, I endorse Charlie Gardner as Selectman to complement the work of Mr Capeci, in order to solidify the approach of efficient town government that is affordable. I am confidant that the Capeci/Gardner team is the best choice to lead Newtown for the next two years, and urge voters to support them at the polls.
