Encourages Weimann Vote Over Incumbent
To The Editor:
How do we decide who to vote for? Talk is cheap, research takes time. Not all incumbents should be returned to office. We are public servants. You choose us to do a job with laws and guidelines that we are required to follow. You expect us to do the work and show up for the task we signed up for.
Are you aware that Renee Weimann trains the staff in the Town Clerk’s office? Are you aware that the last four clerks that left that office are supporting Renee in her race for Town Clerk? Monica wrote a letter which Ann Benore endorsed. Kate and Monica both have Renee magnets on their cars. Aileen does not live in town but is also supporting Renee. None of them are supporting the incumbent. Obviously, the reason they left was not due to working with Renee.
Renee has worked with the other offices and boards. When someone needs an answer, Renee has the answer. The people that work with her at the Municipal Center see who shows up in the office and does the work.
Our office has worked a few elections without the incumbent, solely with Renee and whichever clerk was there at the time, smoothly. The Town Clerk position is elected. No one can tell her what to do.
During Charter changes it was suggested to convert the office to appointed as per state law. The Town Clerk shall be elected or appointed for life with termination for cause is the rule. Our incumbent objected to the change, Renee would encourage it. With benefits, that is a six figure salary person that you are hiring to do as they wish.
Please join me in voting for/hiring Renee Weimann so we can get our money’s worth.
