Endorses Halstead
To The Editor:
I have been blessed to witness my daughter’s dedication to our town firsthand.
Debbie began working in the Town Clerk’s Office in 2005, and for the next nine years, while I served as Republican Registrar of Voters, she worked tirelessly by my side. I saw the long nights, the countless hours, and the care she put into ensuring that every vote was counted.
During the height of COVID, when so much about elections felt uncertain, Debbie and her assistants coordinated the mailing of more than 7,500 ballots. It was no small feat! It required teamwork across departments and even the help of several of us seniors folding and organizing envelopes, always with Debbie’s steady leadership at the forefront. Night after night, she personally brought trays of ballots to the post office to make sure every voter received theirs in time.
For more than 20 years, Debbie has remained kind, professional, and most importantly, resilient. In the face of our town’s challenges and our family’s personal losses, she has continued to show grace and strength.
I couldn’t be prouder of the woman and public servant she has become. Please join me in re-electing your Town Clerk, and my daughter, Debbie Aurelia Halstead on Monday, November 4th.
