I am writing this letter of endorsement for Neil Chaudhary who is running for a position on the Board of Police Commissioners. I had the opportunity to work with Neil closely during my tenure as the Newtown Police Chief. During this period Neil’s expertise in traffic safety matters became extremely helpful to the concerns of the community and department as well. As a nationally renowned researcher in traffic safety studies and grant programs, both the police department and the town reaped the benefits of this knowledge while he served as Commissioner.

Neil had always made himself available for the numerous meetings and events held by the police department and the commission. His interest in public safety was quite evident, and he was extremely vested in community concerns. It is without reservation, and with confidence, that I recommend Neil for the position of Police Commissioner.
