Mildred Alice Noble Burr, loving mother to Robert Burr of Cocoa, Fla., and Marcia Funk of Sandy Hook, died peacefully at the home of her daughter and son-in-law on December 28, 2025.

Born in Bethel on June 18, 1926, she was predeceased by her husband Lawrence Burr, Jr., daughter-in-law Barbara of Cocoa, Fla., and sisters Ruth Ferry, Jenny Beers and Dorothy Crouch.

Having lived in the Newtown and Brookfield area all her life, she loved the great outdoors and long walks.

She is survived her grand-daughter Melissa Woodcock and her husband Chris from Cumming, Ga., and by several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the direction of Honan Funeral Home in Newtown. Private services will be held at a later date.
