David M. Marchetti
David Michael Marchetti, born September 19, 1966, passed away peacefully on January 9.
He dedicated 34 years of his life to law enforcement, a profession he deeply loved and honored. His commitment to public safety extended beyond his service, as he proudly owned and operated his own security company since 1993. Known for his strong sense of duty, integrity, and respect of the law, David’s career reflected his lifelong dedication of protecting others. Above all, his greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife Lynn, with whom he shared 33 years of love and partnership and unwavering devotion.
His hobbies included reading the law, virology, martial arts, target shooting, and he was also known for his love of animals.
He leaves behind his brother Joseph and his wife Amy of Bristol; brother-in-law Eric Schlossberg of California; Diana and Steve Paproski of Newtown; Dan and Stephanie Kearns of Newtown; Shannon and Chris Doyle of Newtown; Paul and Cris Fadus of Newtown; Rebecca and Chris Seabolt of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews and many more cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Marita; as well as Charles and Jean Fadus (uncle and aunt), Peter and Patricia Joyce (uncle and aunt), and Arline and Paul Gassner (aunt and uncle).
A celebration of David’s life was held on January 21, when family and friends were invited to gather for a luncheon in his memory and bring their best “David” stories.
