Not every moment needs noise. Some moments need presence.

My name is Amybeth LaRoche, and I currently serve on the Newtown Board of Finance. I am inviting Newtown residents and neighbors from surrounding communities to attend a Special Announcement event on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the Newtown Community Center, Room 3, located at 8 Simpson Street, Newtown, Connecticut 06470. The snow date is Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., also in Room 3.

There are times when people can sense change is coming before it’s ever spoken aloud. This is one of those moments. Leadership is not always announced loudly. It is shown when people come together, listen, engage, and look ahead.

This event will share an important development with meaningful impact for Newtown and the surrounding communities. The conversations that shape our future do not happen online. They happen face to face, when people show up with purpose.
