After many years serving Newtown in elected office, one thing is clear to me: effective representation and leadership deliver results. Rhetoric does not. That is why I support Brandon Moore for State Representative.

I have lived and served in Newtown my entire life, including in multiple elected roles. I understand what it takes to balance budgets, maintain infrastructure, and keep our community strong, safe, and affordable.

Brandon’s record reflects the same seriousness and measurable impact. As an Army officer and Apache helicopter Troop Commander, he was entrusted with safeguarding hundreds of millions of dollars in military assets. That experience required strict fiscal discipline, operational precision, and sound judgment. Those are exactly the qualities taxpayers should expect from their elected officials.

After returning home, Brandon continued to serve Connecticut in government. In the Lamont-Bysiewicz administration, he designed and implemented economic policy that improved the lives of Connecticut families. He played a key role in launching Connecticut’s first statewide digital workforce portal, coordinating more than 40 public and private partners to connect unemployed residents with job training and employment services.

These were not just ideas. They were operational programs with measurable outcomes that improved families’ economic stability.

Brandon also understands how policy translates into civic engagement. He has led large-scale voter engagement efforts, and he helped increase turnout across Newtown during our last municipal election. I witnessed first-hand how he motivated candidates and campaign volunteers in the most effective voter outreach operation I have ever participated in. He deeply understands our town and our priorities.

Newtown deserves a State Representative who has managed complex systems, protected public resources, and delivered results. Brandon Moore has done that repeatedly. I am confident he will bring that same discipline and effectiveness to Hartford and be a productive representative for everyone in Newtown.
