Ash Wednesday, February 18, is coming soon, and for the third year in a row, Pastor Steve Volpe of Newtown United Methodist Church will be distributing ashes via a drive-though system.

All are invited to pull into the parking lot of 92 Church Hill Road that morning, where Volpe will be ready with ashes in hand and a blessing to send each person off as they begin their Lenten journey.

This year Volpe will be available from 7-8:30 am and from 11 am until noon.

The church is also planning an Ash Wednesday service of worship at 7 pm, to which all are also welcome.
