Colleen Marie Kelly (Mayer), beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at home in Newtown, Connecticut, surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Colleen carried with her the deep roots of family and community that shaped her early years. Her life later took her to Zurich, Switzerland, and McKinney, Texas, before she and her family settled in Newtown, CT.

Above all else, Colleen treasured being a mother to her two sons, Connery and Brennan. She found her greatest joy in her family — sharing life with her husband, Keith, and creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen and cared for, whether through a thoughtful check-in, a small act of kindness, a shared joke, or simply by showing up when it mattered most.

Colleen’s life was rooted in deep family connection — marked by loyalty, humor, generosity, and a fierce devotion to those she loved. Her presence brought comfort and light to so many, and she will be profoundly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Keith Mayer; her sons, Connery and Brennan; her mother, Geraldine Kelly; and her siblings, Patrick Kelly, Michael Kelly, James Kelly, Kathleen Saciuk, and William Kelly, along with extended family and many dear friends.

She was predeceased by her father, William Kelly, and her infant sons, Anderson and Keith.

Friends may call Friday, February 20, from 4 to 7 pm at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am Saturday, February 21, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Colleen Marie Kelly to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Office of Development at P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087.
