Gregory Marciano of Danbury, admired business leader and former CEO of Bethel-based CCI (CT Coining, Inc), passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2026, at age 70.

He was an adventurer at heart, an entrepreneur, talented real estate developer and investor, and successful business owner. Greg was an offshore oil rig diver in the North Sea before eventually coming to own CCI (Connecticut Coining) in Bethel. Building on his father’s legacy, he transformed the company into a worldwide corporation.

Greg loved fast cars, bicycling, water skiing, vegetable gardening, traveling, beautiful days, and life itself. He was independent and kind and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his life partner of more than 30 years, Patricia Gershwin; his brother Wayne Marciano; his cousins Lisa, Toni Ann, Anthony, and their beautiful families; his cats Saturn and Jazzie; many friends; and former employees.

He was predeceased by his mother Susan Mentek and his father Gregory J. Marciano.

Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers we know he would appreciate donations in his name to Happily Furever After Rescue in Bethel, where Saturn was adopted, or any local animal rescue of your choice.

Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home is in care of arrangements. To leave a message of condolence, please visit jowdykanefuneralhome.com. When posting a tribute or condolence on the funeral home website, please include a mailing or e-mail address for Greg’s family.

Raise a glass, make a toast, say a prayer in his honor. Life is short; be kind to each other.
