To The Editor:

This is my first letter to the editor as a 24-year voting resident of Newtown. I was compelled to write because I believe we need and deserve something better for Newtown. If Democrats are serious about defeating Mitch Bolinsky, we must unite behind the strongest possible candidate: Brandon Moore.

I recently attended one of Brandon’s meet-and-greet events with my family. The turnout was impressive, and the energy and enthusiasm in the room made one thing clear — Brandon is building the momentum needed to win this competitive race.

Brandon brings a compelling mix of energy, dedication, experience, and authenticity. He is out in the community every day, meeting voters, listening to concerns, and earning trust. His background in state government gives him a clear understanding of how to turn ideas into results, and his relationships across Connecticut — including Lt Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Congresswoman Jahana Hayes, and former State Representative Chris Lyddy — will help him deliver for Newtown.

He is focused on the issues that matter most. Brandon has a plan to lower electric bills through clean energy investments and will fight to bring more state funding to our schools.

As a combat veteran, he understands leadership, accountability, and how to deliver under pressure — qualities we need in Hartford.

This is not the time for politics as usual. We need a candidate with real momentum and a clear path to victory. Brandon Moore is that candidate.

If we want to win in November, we should support Brandon Moore as our Democratic nominee.
