Supports Bolinsky
To The Editor:
In response to the upcoming mid-term local elections, I’m concerned about the divisiveness that’s consumed national politics and how much of this is showing up in our town.
I identify as a moderate, non-affiliated voter who has supported both Democrats and Republicans over the years. I look past the “R” or “D” labels to see each candidate for their integrity and ability to make their point without being disrespectful or misleading.
My vote for state representative this November will again be for Mitch Bolinsky. If you’re newer to Newtown or not very familiar with state politics, I encourage you to visit https://www.mitchfornewtown.com to learn about Mitch’s tremendous and well documented record of award-winning policy and legislative achievement awards from state and national organizations such as the CT Association for Healthcare at Home, Decoding Dyslexia, Special Education Parent-Teach Organization, AARP, CT Institute for Communities, and the American Legion. From children to seniors, Mitch works closely with the Governor’s policy people and fellow legislators (from both sides of the aisle) to benefit Newtown and the greater State of CT.
My family and I have known Mitch Bolinsky for many years, first as our representative, then as our friend. He’s respected in Hartford as a voice of reason and consistently engages in promoting positive policies that rise above the noise of national distractions … all the while living up to a promise to never vote to raise our taxes for his 13+ years as Newtown’s representative.
Mitch and his wife have spent more than 25 years in this town, raising two successful young adults as well as caring for aging parents, while continuing their commitment as active members of our community. Mitch is a fierce advocate for the underdog and he’s earned my vote. Get to know him and you’ll see why.
