To The Editor:

When evaluating who should represent Newtown in Hartford, it is important to look closely at a candidate’s record of service, leadership, and commitment to something larger than themselves. In Brandon Moore, that record is clear.

Brandon’s path reflects consistent dedication to public service. He attended West Point, one of the most demanding leadership institutions in our country and then served as an Army officer and attack helicopter pilot. In Afghanistan, he led soldiers in complex and dangerous conditions, earning a Bronze Star for leadership. That experience speaks volumes about his ability to lead under pressure, make difficult decisions, and take responsibility for something greater than himself.

What stands out just as much is what Brandon chose to do next. After returning home, he continued his commitment to service by working in Connecticut state government under Governor Lamont. Brandon doubled down on public service, bringing real-world leadership experience to Hartford to strengthen Connecticut’s economy. His Harvard University business and policy graduate degrees background is the bedrock upon which Newtown can build during a time when Connecticut is one of the most unaffordable states.

Brandon earned two graduate degrees thereby strengthening his ability to take on complex challenges and deliver results.

This is not a candidate shaped by politics, but a leader shaped by steadfast commitment to service.

Newtown deserves someone whose leadership has already made a real impact. Who has served our country, strengthened our state, and is committed to making Newtown better for all. Brandon Moore has earned trust the right way, through hard work, discipline, and a consistent commitment to delivering results. His character has been carved by tireless hands of experience and devotion to people and their concerns. His vision is based on action and not political rhetoric.

My family supports Brandon and we hope you will too!
