Middle Gate Elementary School students showcased their artistic talent in the school's annual spring art show on Thursday, May 7.

Overseen by Middle Gate art teacher Jean Griffin, the school’s art room and hallways were decorated with artwork of all grades for the special occasion. The art room was decorated with student-made clay animals.

Kindergartners made silly shape monsters, first graders made pinch pot sea turtles, second graders made cactus and succulent gardens, third graders made octopi, and fourth graders made bobbleheads.

Some students and parents gave Griffin big hugs and flowers as they stopped by, as she is retiring at the end of the school year.
