Newtown Centre of Classical Ballet and Voice is set to present its annual spring production of a full length ballet, free to the community.

Cinderella will be performed Sunday, June 14, at 12:30 and 3 pm, Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street.

Audiences will join Cinderella and her stepsisters in this light-hearted comedic ballet, entering a world of glamorous tutus, princesses, and magic.

Admission is free and there are no reservations. Doors will open 30 minutes before each performance.

The run time is 75 minutes with one 15-minute intermission.

Featured dancers include Newtown High School seniors Zoë Shapiro as Cinderella and Lila Spencer as the Fairy Godmother. Shapiro will attend Brandeis University in the fall as a psychology major with a pre-med track. Spencer will attend University of Wisconsin with a major in consumer behavior and marketplace studies.

Zoë Shapiro (kneeling) is the title character in Cinderella, which Newtown Centre of Classical Ballet and Voice will perform twice this weekend. The production will also include, among others, (clockwise from left) Vivien Vass and Kailyn Lahey as the stepsisters, Maggie Grasso as the stepmother, and Lila Spencer as Fairy Godmother. —photo courtesy Tori Gozzi
