Newtown Wellness Collective (NWC) will celebrate its fourth anniversary with a free, donation-based community event on June 20, 9 am-3 pm, featuring samples of the Collective’s diverse wellness offerings while marking four years of growth from a shared vision for accessible, sustainable mind-body care into a thriving community wellness hub. What began as a small collective committed to holistic wellbeing has steadily expanded its programs, practitioner network, and collaborative offerings in response to growing community interest in integrative approaches to health, healing, and resilience.

Rooted In Community And Compassion

Located at 75 Glen Road in an 1831 brick mill familiarly known as The Fire Hose Company, NWC encompasses several distinct, thoughtfully designed spaces, each intentionally quiet and calming, offering an alternative to busy commercial wellness environments and inviting participants to slow down, settle in, and reconnect.

By bringing together providers from diverse disciplines — including mental health counseling, therapeutic yoga and bodywork, and energy-based modalities — the Collective offers a collaborative model designed to support physical health, emotional resilience, and nervous system regulation.

NWC programming includes workshops, seasonal events, community offerings, and collaborative services that make integrative care more accessible to the surrounding community. Offerings include evidence-based therapies such as EMDR, somatic practices, IFS, and CBT alongside reiki, yoga, mindful movement, and assisted stretching.

Whether someone is navigating daily stress, returning to movement after challenge or change, recovering from burnout, or seeking a more intentional way to cultivate wellbeing, NWC programs are designed to be supportive, adaptable, and responsive to individual needs.

A Resource For The Long Term

As part of its expanding community mission, NWC established an affiliated nonprofit, 12 Square Feet Yoga, to increase access to integrative wellness resources for individuals engaged in high-demand helping roles — including first responders, healthcare professionals, educators, recovery workers, caregivers, and others who spend much of their lives caring for others.

One example of this work is Explore Ease, an experiential program integrating mindful movement, breathwork, and awareness practices to support resilience, regulation, and sustainable wellbeing.

12 Square Feet Yoga President Jen Rizza said, “12 Square Feet is about creating space — both literally and internally. It’s an invitation to explore and honor the full spectrum of our experience while developing practical tools for regulation, resilience, and meaningful connection.”

Newtown Wellness Collective is not focused on quick fixes or temporary solutions. Its mission is to nurture mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing; foster resilience; and cultivate meaningful connection by helping individuals and families develop practical tools they can carry into everyday life. Through collaborative care, accessible programming, and a commitment to community wellbeing, NWC continues to create spaces where healing, growth, and connection can take root.

Experience NWC firsthand with its free community Open House on Saturday, June 20th. Programming and services are scheduled throughout the day and participants can register in advance at newtownwellnesscollective.com.
