To The Editor:

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank Ben Ruben for reading the Declaration of Independence for our town on the Fourth of July.

It was such a meaningful and memorable way to kick off the holiday weekend! Hearing those powerful words read aloud reminded all of us of the values and history that unite our community. Ben’s willingness to arrange this (hopefully ongoing) tradition helped create a special moment that brought people together in the spirit of patriotism, gratitude, and celebration.

A big thanks also to my fellow friends and neighbors for sharing your time on that hot Saturday morning, to come together as a community. Everyone’s participation made the event even more memorable!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend and thank you again for helping make our Fourth of July celebration so special.
