For the first time in five years, Newtown Forest Association (NFA) will host its very popular wine tasting-fundraiser event.

Readers age 21 and over are invited to join NFA members atop Holcombe Hill Wildlife Preserve, 65 Great Hill Road, for a beautiful evening of revelry and community. Guests will enjoy live music, delicious food, and sample nearly a dozen wine and beer options from local distributors.

This year’s event is planned for Saturday, September 12, 4-8 pm.

Tickets are $40 ($44.52 with fees) and include hors d’oeuvres, one glass of wine, two slices of wood-fired pizza (with additional slices available for purchase), and an NFA-branded sample glass for tasting beer and wine options.

The event will also include raffles, and additional beer and wine for purchase.

NFA members will also receive a complimentary bottle of wine of their choice. Non-members planning to attend the event can become NFA members before buying event tickets.

Visit newtownforestassociation.org for tickets and additional information. Details concerning beverage selection and raffle items will be announced closer to the event date.

Newtown Forest Association is dedicated to preserving forests, agricultural lands, meadows, watersheds, and other open spaces in Newtown, for the benefit of plants, animals, and human residents of the town.

Formed in 1923 by a group of Newtown residents, NFA proudly holds the mantle of Connecticut’s oldest private land trust.

NFA has had over 100 board members in its history who have shepherded the organization into the 21st Century. Today, NFA preserves over 1,400 acres across Newtown, with 76 different parcels of land.
