To the Editor,

I am writing in support of Michelle Embree Ku for State Representative. I have known Michelle for years and what stands out most to me is that she truly listens and, more importantly, takes action on what she hears.

As a retired Newtown teacher, I have seen firsthand how seriously Michelle takes our schools and the people who make them successful. During her time as Chairman of the Board of Education she was actively involved in important issues including school safety and security, school start times and challenges presented by COVID 19.

Michelle is also a strong supporter of teachers. I believe she will be an excellent bridge between parents, teachers and our communities as important decisions about school funding, facilities and safety are made in Hartford.

Michelle brings experience, compassion and a willingness to listen and act. I hope you will join me in supporting Michelle Embree Ku for State Representative.
