Vote For Michelle Embree Ku On November 3
To The Editor:
I don’t know anyone who is satisfied with the economy right now. Groceries and gas prices have skyrocketed in the last year and a half, as have energy prices. Keeping our homes warm in the winter and cool in the summer is eating up a larger part of our budget than ever before. Healthcare costs keep increasing to the point where many people simply have given up on insurance. Housing costs have gone up, and Newtown’s rural character and open space are at risk. What’s more, Flock cameras are on our streets, and Newtowners are rightly concerned and speaking up about our privacy.
We need change. And that change comes about through our elected officials. That’s why I’m voting for Michelle Embree Ku this November to become my State Representative in Hartford. With 12+ years of hands-on experience in local government here in Newtown through serving on our Legislative Council, Board of Selectmen, and Board of Education (as Chair, mind you), Michelle not only understands how government works but has a track record that can’t be beat. She has proven that she will fight for lower prices across the board, quality healthcare for all, and protection of our civil and privacy rights. What’s more, she thoroughly understands and is ready to address critical gaps in the state HB 8002 housing bill.
Join me in not only maintaining the Newtown we love but helping to make it better by voting for Michelle Embree Ku as our State Representative for District 106 on November 3rd.
