To The Editor:

I am very proud to support Rob Blanchard for Connecticut’s 28th State Senate District this coming November. Rob and his family moved to Newtown from Fairfield to be closer to family and friends, drawn by our strong sense of community and excellent school system. Rob’s platform shows that he cares for the issues that affect working families in the area and throughout the 28th District: housing, childcare, healthcare, groceries, property taxes, etc. These are concerns shared by households of all ages across our community.

Rob comes with experience having worked for Governor Lamont and Comptroller Scanlon at the state level, but also as the Deputy Majority Leader in Fairfield at the local level. Rob has great relationships with other legislatures, business leaders, and nonprofits throughout the district.

For too long, our district has been in the political minority, leaving the 28th District without a real “seat at the table” when decisions are made. Our voters deserve full representation, especially when it comes to funding town infrastructure projects and capital investment. Rob’s top priority would be fighting for state support to help lower household costs and property taxes. Please join me in supporting Rob Blanchard on November 3rd.
