Union Savings Bank encourages people to contribute new crayons, markers, colored pencils, notebooks, and other items to its 10th Annual Teachers' Closet School Supply Drive.

Running from August 1 through August 31, the month-long community initiative invites local residents to drop off essential classroom materials at any local branch or shop directly through the online Union Savings Bank Amazon Wish List, amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1VDXZ973QOPBA.

People can support Teachers' Closet by donating supplies at the Newtown Union Savings Bank branch located at 1A Commerce Road, or another branch of their choosing. Alternatively, people can order online and have items shipped directly to the bank.

The most requested items include crayons, colored pencils, markers, scissors, pencil cases and sharpeners, and binders.

The drive ensures that local K-5 classroom teachers can request and receive free supplies through the bank's portal, preventing educators from paying out of pocket to stock their classrooms for the upcoming school year.
