As the election approaches, I am proud to support Michelle Ku for State Representative in Connecticut’s 106th District. Since moving to Newtown over 16 years ago, Michelle has demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to public service, earning the deep trust of our community through years of effective leadership in multiple municipal roles.

Michelle’s extensive track record speaks volumes about her dedication. She has served our town tirelessly, including eight years on the Board of Education — serving four as Chair — as well as terms on the Legislative Council and the Board of Selectmen. In every position, she has tackled complex issues like town budgets and school infrastructure with honesty, transparency, and a focus on practical solutions.

What truly sets Michelle apart is her unique ability to connect with all her constituents. She is a listener who shows up for her neighbors, welcomes diverse perspectives, and engages in good-faith dialogue. Her leadership is defined by integrity, compassion, and steady judgment, rather than partisan politics.

Michelle has proven that she puts Newtown first. Her years of quiet, impactful work have earned our community’s trust, and I know she will bring that same accountability to Hartford. She understands our families' needs and has the proven experience to vote responsibly on behalf of all residents.
