To The Editor:

I am fairly new to Newtown and am impressed by the strength & character here. For more than a year, millions of people have come together across America to send a message: in America we have no kings, opposing authoritarian power and executive overreach by our current administration. Newtown has successfully held No Kings Rallies in the past. I would encourage everyone to find courage with fellow community organizers and join us in a non-violent protest at the 4th No Kings Day on October 17th. This event will be focused on using our SUPER POWER to Get Out & Vote!

Help us save our democracy on issues impacting our community at the Dickinson Park Bandshell/Pavillion from 12:30 to 2 pm. Rally at 2 pm on south Main Street to follow. This is just one way to unite people across this country to fight dictatorship. It is critical that everyone is involved now, as we prepare and support causes in the upcoming elections.

Together we can make a difference! We have a voice. We need to use it as we come together in peaceful unity. Let’s make this rally a success!
