Mitch Bolinksky: A Strong Voice For Seniors
To The Editor:
One of many reasons I support State Representative Mitch Bolinsky's campaign for re-election is his work on behalf of seniors. I know firsthand how important strong advocacy is for older adults, their families, and caregivers.
Mitch has demonstrated meaningful leadership on the Aging Committee, including his work to improve nursing home care, strengthening transparency and accountability, and supporting the ability of seniors to age in place safely and independently in their communities. His long standing advocacy for caregivers and families affected by Alzheimer's, along with his attention to protecting seniors from financial exploitation, reflects a genuine understanding of the challenges they face. I also appreciate Mitch's support for policies that can make a practical difference in senior's lives including tax relief and access to nutrition and other essential services. Importantly, he approaches these issues with the willingness to work across party lines and find common ground.
What stands out most to me is Mitch's accessibility. He is available to his constituents, listens carefully to their concerns and responds when people need help. That personal connection is an essential part of effective representation. As someone who is intimately familiar with challenges seniors face, I am grateful to have a representative that understands advocacy is not simply about legislation. Mitch has consistently shown that seniors and their families deserve to be heard and respected.
I am proud to endorse Mitch Bolinsky and his continued service to the residents of Newtown and Connecticut.
