Vote For Rob Blanchard For State Senate
To The Editor:
It’s just too easy. A team member for Rob Blanchard’s opponent lamented that Rob couldn’t represent Newtown for the 28th District because he only recently moved to Newtown.
Well, let me share why this is just too easy:
1) Rob Blanchard is running for State Senate for the 28th District.
2) the 28th State Senate district includes Fairfield, Easton, Bethel and Newtown.
3) Rob Blanchard lived in Fairfield for four years and was extensively involved in the Representative Town Meeting (RTM), the equivalent of Newtown’s Legislative Council, taking leadership roles including in finance and budgets.
4) His opponent has been in Newtown for two and a half years, moving recently from Shelton.
The elected State Senator of the 28th District represents Newtown and Fairfield. Rob Blanchard has been in the District for five years. And he has extensive experience both at the state and local level of representation, with the governor, Lt governor, state comptroller, and RTM. His opponent has been in the 28th Senate District for two and a half years, and has nine months experience on the Board of Finance where she didn’t even know that the car tax (that she didn’t pay on time) went to the municipality, not the state.
Bottom line, Rob Blanchard is ready to work for us starting on day one. His opponent, a token MAGA candidate, is not ready for Prime-Time.
Please remember to vote early, or on November 3. And vote for a candidate who is ready to govern. Vote for Rob Blanchard!
