Newtown High School's football game has been bumped up a day and will now take place Thursday, October 15, when the Nighthawks host Notre Dame Prep at Blue & Gold Stadium starting at 6:30 pm.

The game was originally scheduled to be played on Friday, but expected rain is in the forecast. Newtown is 1-3 and Notre Dame 4-0 to start the season. This is the program's Youth Night, honoring the youngest football and cheerleading squads in town, and also Pink Out game in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Proceeds from Pink Out shirt sales and donations benefit the Healing Hearts bereavement program at Regional Hospice.
