To The Editor:

I am writing in strong support of Amybeth Laroche for State Senate. Recently the Democrats have been involved in a smear campaign involving distorted facts and false accusations against Amybeth. Ironically, the Democrats still support candidates with bad moral character like Democrat representative Raghib Allie Brennan who was arrested twice in the past year for theft. Blanchard and the Democrats do not want the election to be about the issues facing our community but want to deflect from their record and resort to smear campaigns against their opponents.

I have discussed the issues with Rob Blanchard and found I could not vote for Rob. Rob did not fully understand the issues, he supports bad policies that hurt Connecticut residents, and he lacked concrete details, and actionable steps to fix Connecticut’s problems. Rob is also a Lamont insider and a rubber stamp candidate who will support what is best for Lamont and the Democrats, and not Connecticut residents.

Amybeth Laroche fully understands the issues and can provide actionable steps to fix Connecticut’s problems including wasteful spending, mismanagement of government agencies, high taxes and utility rates, housing, education issues, support for parental rights and rising crime.

Amybeth has a strong sense of integrity and is transparent about her beliefs and actions. She is able to make difficult decisions and has demonstrated the ability to listen and empathize with the concerns of others. Amybeth is open minded and will fight for the best interests of her constituents, not her party and special interests. She will explore new solutions, consider different perspectives, and be flexible in her approach to problem solving.

Connecticut Democrats, no one else, created Connecticut’s problems and we need competent and honest people like Amybeth Laroche to fix Connecticut’s problems.
