Newtown Public Schools went all out when it came to celebrating Halloween and its many spooky traditions.

Over two dozen families decorated their car for Middle Gate Elementary School’s annual Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday, October 22. A total of 28 cars parked around the school’s playground, each with unique themes and decorations.

Newtown Middle School held its inaugural Trunk-or-Treat on Saturday, October 24, organized as a fundraiser for the NMS Student Council. People could trunk-or-treat at eleven cars, enjoy lawn games, or face painting courtesy of Newtown High School National Art Honor Society students. Coffee, cider, and donuts were sold to benefit the NMS Student Council, with the funds being used for events such as the pep rally and school dances.

The fun did not stop there, as Head O’Meadow Elementary School held its annual Halloween Hop on Friday, October 30. The event featured a wide variety of activities, including slime making, face painting, trunk-or-treating, and more. A total of 23 cars participated in the trunk-or-treat, each with its own creative and unique decorations.
