Amanda Eventoff graduated from Manhattanville College, in Purchase, N.Y., on May 16.

Gregory Golino of Sandy Hook graduated cum laude at Bryant University, in Smithfield, R.I., on Saturday, May 16.

Daniel Morehouse received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering with High Distinction at the 141st Commencement exercises at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass., on May 16.

Aimee Clavette, of Sandy Hook, received an undergraduate degree from Providence College on Sunday, May 17.

Tierney Lauren Carey earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Saint Michael’s College on May 14.

Katherine Danziger received her commission as an ensign in the United States Navy at Duke University on May 8. She also graduated from the university on May 10 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, and plans to serve as a design engineer in the US Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program in Washington, D.C.

Quincey Blanchard, who graduated Magna Cum Laude, and Krista Reichart graduated from the University of New Hampshire, in Durham.

Lauralton Hall had Newtown students named on the school’s honor roll in addition to Sandy Hook students the list printed in the May 15 edition of The Newtown Bee. Earning high honors were freshman Rhea Schneider, sophomore Katherine Siroky, seniors Meagan Kelly and Mary LoPiccolo. Earning honors were freshmen Nicole Lang and Mary Siroky, sophomore Megan Murphy, junior Chelsea Boggs, seniors Annemarie Davis and Margaret Morrissey.

Michael Nastri graduated from Fordham University, in Bronx, N.Y., on May 16, and during the Encaenia of Fordham College awards ceremony Michael was also the recipient of the Sigma Delta Chi Award, which is presented to an outstanding senior in the field of journalism.

Nicole C. Lebron, of Sandy Hook, has graduated from St Vincent’s College in Bridgeport with a degree in radiography.

Sandy Hook resident and Wooster School of Danbury student Nick Allred placed in the top ten percent in the state and nation in the recent Le Grand Concours, or the National French Contest, a 60 minutes national test designed, written, and disseminated by the members of the American Association of Teachers of French.

Andrea Raynor, Leah Brooks Herity, and Mary Francis Anders were recently among 221 students at the University of Connecticut, in Storrs, who were selected to become members in the Epsilon of Connecticut Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society.
