Mary Shaw, 76, of Newtown died April 8 from complications due to kidney failure. She was born May 17, 1939, in Waterbury, where she was raised before moving to Newtown in 1965.

Ms Shaw worked at the Newtown Post Office for 15 years as a rural carrier.

Two children, her beloved sons Robert Shaw, and his wife Susan, of Newtown and Thomas Shaw, and his wife Suzanne, of New Milford; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephanie, Robert, and Ashleigh; two brothers, Jeremiah Sullivan of Utah and Richard Sullivan of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews survive Ms Shaw. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Clarence Shaw, and her brothers William, Johnnie, and Daniel Sullivan.

Funeral services will take place Saturday, April 12, at 10 am, in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Interment will follow in Newtown Village Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, April 11, from 4 to 7 pm.
