A graduate of American University in Washington, D.C., and Bank Street College of Education in New York City in 1996 with a master’s degree in child and parent development, Ms DeYoung, a Newtown mother of three preteen and teenage children, has been practicing parent coaching for more than two years.

Also taking part in the health and wellness fair is Dr Brian Nathanson, who specializes in the repair and rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries, using an effective and scientifically proven approach to treating muscular or joint-related pain. This approach does not necessarily involve “adjusting the spine.” Instead, treating the joints, supporting muscles, ligaments, tendons and fascia where pain, muscle tightness and joint dysfunction originate, restores function.

The day will also include minilectures on other subjects, including urology, nutrition, and family counseling.

The event is free and open to the public.
