Matthew J. Crick, 19, Middlebury, died suddenly February 27, at his home.
Matthew was born November 4, 1987, in Danbury, son of Michael W. and Lisa (Grasso) Crick. He was a 2005 graduate of Pomperaug High School, having been member of its track and cross country teams. Matthew was a sophomore at Western Connecticut State University, majoring in communications, media studies. He was presently employed at Shawâs Supermarket in Southbury.
Matthew loved his family, his friends, his dogs, music, movies, and trips to New York City.
Besides his parents, he leaves his paternal grandmother, Joan Crick of Newtown; four brothers, William, Benjamin, Adam, and Mitchell Crick, all of Middlebury; and his maternal grandmother, Rose-Mary Grasso of Southbury. Also, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 3, at 11 am, at Middlebury Congregational Church, 1242 Whittemore Road, Middlebury. Burial will be in the spring in Newtown Village Cemetery near his paternal grandfather, James W. Crick, Jr.
Friends may call at the Southbury funeral home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main Street North, on Friday, March 2, from 3 to 8 pm.
