A Rabbi’s Journey To Judaism

DANBURY — The Danbury-Newtown Chapter of Hadassah invites the community join them for a presentation by Rabbi Nelly Altenburger, who will talk about her “Journey To Judaism” on Sunday, March 7, at 1:30 pm. The program will be offered at Congregation B’nai Israel, 193 Clapboard Ridge Road.

Rabbi Altenberger’s story is unique and inspiring in that she chose to be Jewish. She grew up in non-Jewish, non-English speaking Sao Paulo, Brazil, and managed to overcome great obstacles in becoming a rabbi.

There is no fee for the event and reservations are not required.
