Five Arrested In Fairfield Hills Trespassing Incident

Police report an intrusion at a locked building at Fairfield Hills, resulting in the arrest of five males  there about 5:15 pm April 14.

Police said the five males entered Cochran House, which is a secured town-owned building on Mile Hill Road South, at the former state psychiatric hospital.

The youths made loud noises that were heard by security personnel at Fairfield Hills who then contacted police about the problem, police said.

Police said a search of the building turned up the five males in Cochran House’s basement.

Police arrested Joshua Jensen, 19, of Cheshire on charges of second-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree forgery. The forgery charge stems from Jensen providing police with a forged Florida driver’s license, police said.

Police also arrested Michael Miele, 18, of Prospect on a second-degree criminal trespassing charge.

Additionally, police arrested two “youthful offenders” and one “juvenile” on second-degree criminal trespassing charges. Youthful offenders are ages 16 or 17. Juveniles are under age 16. The identities of people under age 18 who are charged with crimes is shielded from disclosure by state law.

All five offenders are scheduled for court appearances to answer the charges, police said.
